B.I.S.S Ch River City's Belle

/i//990.JPG

BISS Ch River City's Belle was born 4/9/05.  Her sire was BISS Ch Beauties Amos and her dam was Lexi, our foundation bitch.  This was the second of two litters that Lexi had and Belle was the only girl in a litter of four.  It didn't take long for her to steal my heart.  She was standing and self stacking like a pro at three weeks.  I felt then that great things were in store for her.  She was what I like to call a total package; beauty, smarts, and personality.  The little cutie didn't grow on Rod nearly as quickly.  In fact, at eight weeks old, Rod was ready to sell her.  He didn't think she would measure up to his standards of what a show bitch should be.  Being the realist that I am and knowing there is no perfect dog,  I told Rod she needed to stay so we could see how she would develop.  We took her out to her first show early, before she was a year old.  It didn't take long before Belle was winning out of the puppy class.  She finished 9/9/06, before she was 18 months old, with multiple majors and several singles.  I like to remind Rod that I was right about this little girl.  Belle has gone on to take some breed wins with limited showing and our biggest thrill yet, a BISS win in Des Moines 9/6/08.  Belle loves to show and when she sees us getting our "show bag" ready, she starts running through the house, then to the door and then she jumps right into the tub waiting for her bath.  She truly is a joy to show and unlike most of our dogs, really has no preference if Rod or I am showing her. Belle is our third bred by champion.
